Aloha, my name is Bill Westerhoff and for me photography is the practice of an art, and the never ending possibility to learn more about that art. With an eye for color and composition I have worked to create many beautiful photographs throughout my career.
Before moving to Maui, I owned and operated a portrait studio in a small Northern Calif. town. It was there that I taught myself the fine art of studio lighting. Although I no longer own a studio my lighting kit is portable and can be brought to most any location.
Arriving full time on Maui in the spring of 04 after 20 yrs. of visiting I rekindled my love of landscape photography, the magic of Maui is everywhere here and a joy for me to photograph.
And now I have moved into the especially rewarding field of Wedding Photography, capturing a couple's special day and helping to create a lifetime of memories for their families, It also helps that I'm a bit sentimental myself.
